The Flint Water Crisis is a drinking water contamination issue in Flint, Michigan that started in April 2014. After Flint changed its water source from treated Detroit Water and Sewerage Department water to the Flint River, its drinking water had a series of problems that culminated with lead contamination, creating a serious public health danger.
New Faith Baptist Church, the Joseph Assignment Global Initiative, Dr. Ian Smith and other media partners have been working to collect and deliver bottled water and financial donations to support those in need. To date, we have donated more than 100,000 bottles of water to support affected residents.
If you are interested in helping, please drop off sealed and unopened bottles or cartons of water at the New Faith Baptist Church office (25 S. Central Ave, Matteson, IL 60443), or make a financial contribution here today!
